Driver issues causing background (gray haze instead of clean white empty spaces). I noticed if the full driver is not installed for the correct model, then this phenomenon may occur. www.brother.com/support/find driver by model number

  1.visit brother website https://www.brother-usa.com/brother-support/driver-downloads

2. enter full model # i.e. HL-L2370DW

3.  ACCEPT by clicking BLUE OK

4.  Click on full driver package to download and agree to EULA and download will begin

5.  Click on downloaded file

6.  allow to install

7.  begin the installation

8.  Setup with USB, wireless or wired

9.  Finish with test page to check print quality

Check test page quality for the previous problem with dirty background - background (unprinted area) will be pure white and gray haze should be gone.
